Three formats, one clock
The teaching clock does not change with the format. A session is two hours: recap, frame, ask, tea, three checks, keep, one optional sentence for the week. What changes is who holds the eight seats and which weekday the room is booked.
Open group. Individual seats on a published weekday at 231 Mountbatten Road, #03-05, Mountbatten Square. A programme is four consecutive weeks, same weekday and same hours. Seats are confirmed when the invoice for that person is paid, before session 1.
Closed group. Eight seats bought together by a community organisation, a condominium committee, or a workplace that wants the same syllabus in their room. The studio brings cards and tablets. The host provides a table for eight, power, and a kettle. The fee is for the room of eight, not a discounted per-seat bargain with a different method.
Refresher clinic. A single two-hour Saturday sitting for people who have already completed a four-session programme. The work is L4: explaining the loop to someone else at the table and naming a missed check. It is not a seventh catalogue course.
What a seat costs
Prices are in Singapore dollars, for 2026. Cards, tea and tablet loan are included. There is no application fee and no materials list to buy. Payment is by invoice sent to the address you give; we confirm the seat when payment for session 1 is in. We do not publish bank identifiers on this site — they are on the invoice.

A missed session is not refunded and is not recorded as a video. If the studio cancels a sitting, that sitting is rearranged or the fee for that sitting is returned. Transfers of a remaining seat to another person are possible before session 2 if the incoming learner can start at the same rung; write to the studio, do not send someone in unannounced.
Open groups, late 2026
Times are Singapore time. Each row is four sittings. Write before the start date; a row that is full is closed, not wait-listed on this page. Morning sittings run 10:00–12:00. Afternoon sittings run 14:00–16:00. Saturday sittings run 10:00–12:00, inside studio hours.

Where the open groups sit
Open groups meet at the studio on the third floor of Mountbatten Square. The room is set for eight. Lift access is from the lobby. There is no parking reservation in the fee; public transport to Mountbatten and Dakota is the usual approach. Arrive ten minutes before the hour so that cards can be laid out; the two-hour clock starts on time.
Closed groups meet where the host can seat eight people at tables, not in a lecture row. We need power for eight tablets, a kettle, and a door that can close. We do not run sessions in food courts or in rooms that share a table with another activity. Write with the address and the weekday you can hold for four weeks; we will say whether the room works.

Use the enquiry form or e-mail [email protected]. Name the programme, the sitting from Table 9 (or “closed group”), and a phone number.

Invoice
If a seat exists, we send an invoice for S$480 (or S$120, or S$3,840). We do not hold unpaid seats across a weekend.

Confirm
When payment is in, we reply with the weekday, hours, and what to bring: reading glasses, one paper letter or bill if the programme needs it, and nothing to install.

Session 1
Loop card, rails, rule 3 in the first hour. Lent tablets stay in the room.
